Andrew Hill rode to victory in the solo men’s race on stage three of the PE Plett at Zuurbron Farm in the Baviaanskloof, Eastern Cape, today.

He completed the 85km men’s race in 3:23:42 ahead of Jason Reed (3:30:35) and Walter Kleynscheldt (4:03:01).
Hill (11:07:43) maintains the lead going into the final stage tomorrow. Second and third overall are Jason Reed 11:46:26) and Walter Kleynscheldt (14:06:21).
Yolande de Villiers topped the solo women’s event in 3:35:14 to beat Ingrid Landman (5:06:47) and Janine Wencke (6:31:36).
De Villiers (11:53:57) continues to lead the women’s general classification, with Landman (18:26:13) and Wencke (20:33:32) in second and third respectively.
Declan Sidey and Shaun-Nick Bester (Mad Mac p/b häzz-Silverback Bikes) increased their overall lead to 11:19:19 when they claimed the honours in the men’s team event in 3:28:58.
Second were Aiden Connelly and Rogan Smart (Bike Shop-Scott-Strocam) in 3:35:04, followed by Shaun Glover and Max Sullivan (Mad Mac, too) in 3:39:42.
Second overall are Connelly and Smart (12:02:02) with Fedgroup’s Brandon Stewart and Ian Mcleod (12:25:18) third.
