Australia’s Cameron Bayly won stage four of Tour de Taiwan, which finished in Nantou County after 166.56km today.
America’s Cameron Piper finished in second in a time of 3:59:18, two seconds after the winning time, while Japan’s Yukiya Arashiro finished in third four seconds later.

Eddie van Heerden was the first South African to finish, in 29th place, after an unfortunate crash.
“We went with about 10km to go and opened a gap. I was in a move with two riders close to the finish and I crashed around a sharp bend with 4km to go,” said Van Heerden.
“The other two stayed away and took first and second for the day.”
Arashiro has slotted into first place overall, with Australia’s Jonathan Clarke in second and Belgium’s Jimmy Janssens completing the podium.
Van Heerden is in 27th place overall, with a time of 12:34:32.
