Francois Louw and Alisha Myers won the opening stage of the Cederberg 100 Miler at Nuwerust today.
Louw finished the 74km course in a time of 3:33:32. Izak Visagie was second over the line after 3:34:59, while Ian Wolmarans finished third in 3:35:35.
Fourth place went to Alwyn Naude, who claimed a time of 3:44:54, while Peter Hodgkinson came in fifth after 3:52:52.
In the women’s race, Myers crossed the line after 4:11:35. Venetia Landman and Adel Jeppe came in second and third after 4:29:42 and 4:31:24 respectively.
Nicola Collins came in fourth after 4:34:23, with Marisa Visagie in fifth after 4:50:09.
