Timothy Bentley won the third SA National DHI Cup Series event that took place at the Cascades MTB Park in Pietermaritzburg yesterday.
The 25-year-old, who placed second at the SA Downhill Championships earlier this month, finished with the fastest time of 4:35.80. Adi van der Merwe took second place in 4:42.02, with Theo Erlangsen third in 4:42.45.

Fourth place went to Connor Finnis, who claimed a time of 4:45.33. Sharjah Jonsson finished fifth in 4:48.40.
The women’s race was won by Beani Thies in 5:58.56, she was followed home by Kathryn Fourie in 6:24.32 and Louise Kotze in 6:45.85.
Dorette Crous finished fourth in 7:10.37, while Joanne Hicks completed the podium in 7:26.68.
