Bora Hansgrohe’s Jay McCarthy won the 184.8km third stage of the Vuelta a Pais Vasco in Valdegovia, Spain, today.
The Australian completed the stage in 4:49:39, beating UAE Team Emirates’ Aleksandr Riabushenko (Belarus) and Team Sky’s Michal Kwiatkowski (Poland) into second and third respectively.

Stage one and two winner Quick-Step Floors’ Julian Alaphilippe (France) retains his race lead ahead of LottoNL-Jumbo’s Primoz Roglic (Slovakia) and Bahrain-Merida’s Gorka Izagirre (Spain).
