Quick-Step Floors’ Julian Alaphilippe won the 168km second stage of the Vuelta al Pais Vasco, which finished in Bermeo, Spain, today.
The Frenchman secured his second successive stage victory with a time of 4:11:47, beating LottoNL-Jumbo’s Primoz Roglic (Slovakia) and Bahrain-Merida’s Gorka Izagirre (Spain) into second and third respectively.

Alaphilippe took race lead, eight seconds clear of Roglic. Izagirre is currently in third a further 31 seconds back.
