Lotto–Soudal’s Time Wellens won the 202km fourth stage of the Giro d’Italia, which finished in Caltagirone, Italy, today.
The Belgian climb to victory in 5:17:34, beating EF Education First-Drapac p/b Cannondale’s Michael Woods (Canada) and LottoNL-Jumbo’s Enrico Battaglin (Italy) into second and third respectively.

DiData’s Louis Meintjes (South Africa) finished 17th, with teammates and compatriots Ryan Gibbons and Jacques Janse van Rensburg finishing 75th and 76th respectively.
BMC Racing’s Rohan Dennis (Australia) retained the pink leader’s jersey for the third stage in a row. He is just one second clear of Team Sunweb’s Tom Dumoulin (Netherlands), with Mitchelton-Scott’s Simon Yates (Britain) in third a further 17 seconds back.
