Team Infinita have welcomed back Ruben Helberg into the team’s set-up, manager Bosseau Boshoff announced yesterday.
Nelspruit-based Infinita, a team Boshoff started last year with the aim of transforming junior riders into professionals, got Helberg back on board after the inaugural 100 Cycle Challenge on Sunday.

Helberg was a part of the team last year, before he joined Hi-Q at the beginning of this year.
Boshoff said he was happy to have the 17-year-old back in the mix.
“He will contribute a lot, especially in the one-day races where he will be able to support Ryan [Terry], who is currently leading among the junior men in the road-series standings.
“Ruben will be able to play a vital role there. He is also probably one of the best climbers in the junior bunch now and, in turn, Ryan could help him there.
“Depending on the terrain we would have two cards to play – riders for the flat stages and others for the climbs.”
Boshoff feels Helberg, who also lives in Nelspruit, wanted to become part of a more professional team, which was his reason for leaving Hi-Q.
“We are a more serious team,” he said. “I think he is looking for better support at races, with vehicles following the team and a real support structure.
“With the upcoming tours, winning will be important for us as a team and I think Ruben could get good support from the other riders.
