Mitchelton-Scott’s Michael Albasini won the 180km second stage of the Tour des Fjords in Kristiansand, Norway, yesterday.
The Swiss completed the stage in 4:33:02, beating Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij’s Pim Ligthart (Netherlands) and Team Sky’s Kristoffer Halvorsen (Norway) in a sprint.

Stage one winner Quick-Step Floors’ Fabio Jakobsen (Netherlands) retained the race lead ahead of the third and final stage tomorrow.
DiData’s Edvald Boasson Hagen (Norway) finished fourth, Amanuel Gebreigzabhier (Eritrea) 56th, Merhawi Kudus (Eritrea) 59th, Nick Dougall (South Africa) 76th, Reinhardt Janse van Rensburg (South Africa) 84th and Johann van Zyl (South Africa) 99th.
