Nico Bell won the opening event of the Trailseeker Series in Buffelsdrift, Gauteng, today.

He finished ahead of his teammate Gawie Combrinck and Sean Nick Bester in the 70km mountain bike marathon.
Robyn de Groot claimed the victory in the women’s race, followed by Sarah Hill and Danielle Strydom.
The 40km men’s half-marathon was won by Jean-Pierre Lloyd. Shaun Botha finished second with Stehan Wolmarans in third.
Jade Slabbert won the women’s title to beat Rimari Sutton and Karla Stumpf.
