Jason Meaton and Harry Abourizk won the men’s team event on stage one of the Katberg Quest in Fort Beaufort, Eastern Cape, today.

They completed the 50km course in 2:37:03 ahead of Brett Newcombe and Stefan Ferreira (3:48:10).
Stuart Marais took the honours in the solo men’s event in 1:52:28. Michael Penderson-Horn finished second in 2:10:57 with Liam Graham in third in 2:13:32.
Liesel Prentis won the women’s event when she finished in 2:32:42.
Gary and Nicky Green took the spoils in the mixed event when they crossed the finish in 3:01:05. Janet and Michael Sabbagh (3:14:52) finished second with Louise van der Vyver and Gary Cawthorn (3:37:21) rounding out the podium.
