Pieter-Gys de Kock won the men’s junior race of the Schools MTB League in the first Northern Cape event at Marrick Safari on Saturday.
Diamantveld High School’s De Kock completed the four-lap course in 1:05:33, beating schoolmate Dihan Holtzhausen by 14 seconds. Elizabeth Conradie School’s Xander Fraipont completed the podium.

As the only junior woman, Diamantveld High School’s Monique van der Westhuizen finished the three-lap course in 1:06:26.
