Trans Augrabies results & GC: Robert Jankielsohn claims overall win

Robert Jankielsohn claimed the overall Trans Augrabies victory after winning the final stage at the Augrabies Falls National Park, Northern Cape, today.

Jankielsohn completed the 57km course in a time of 2:40:23. Second place went to Jaco van Vuuren, who finished in 2:40:23, with Naude Engels third in 2:45:57.

Jankielsohn completed the three-day race in a total time of 9:54:38. Van Vuuren finished second in 10:02:20 and Engels completed the podium in 10:09:22.

Johanet Cilliers won the overall women’s race in a total time of 12:41:22. She also won the final stage in 3:36:31.

Andra van Staden placed second on the day, as well as overall, in 3:38:51 and 13:32:28 respectively.
