David Maree and Carla Oberholzer won the respective elite men’s and women’s race on stage one of the Bestmed Jock Classic in Nelspruit today.
Maree completed the 48.5km course in a time of 1:19:10. He was followed home by Dylan Girdlestone and James Fourie, who both finished in 1:19:11.

In the women’s race, Yolandi du Toit and Zanri Rossouw completed the podium.
Alex Pavlov won the VA (30-39) category, while David Labuschagne was the winner in the VB (40-49) race and Shane Brown crossed the line first in the VC (50-59) event.
