The Midlands MTB Stage Race results & GC: Hill, Liebenberg clinch overall title

Andrew Hill and Henry Liebenberg won the third and final stage and with it the title of The Midlands MTB Stage Race, when the event concluded in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal, today.

The pair completed the 52km route in 2:08:21 and with a clean sweep of victories, they had a final general classification time of 6:41:39, almost two hours ahead of Norvyn Pitout and Byron Ekerold in second. Ernest Welch and Roger Zoio finished third.

Martin and Jeannie Dreyer won the mixed title after winning today’s stage in 2:30:06. Hayley Smith and Dale Allan finished second and Judy and Gerhard Gous third.

Jordan Wisdom won the solo men’s race title, ahead of Matthew Myburgh and Justin Lourens in second and third respectively.
