Peter Sagan claimed his second stage victory on stage five of the Tour de France to consolidate his lead in the points classification today.
The Slovakian got the better of Italy’s Sonny Colbrelli (Bahrain-Merida) and Belgium’s Philippe Gilbert (Quick-Step Floors) on the 204km race between Lorient and Quimperin when he finished the race in 4:48:06.

Gilbert started the action within the final kilometre, but the front riders regrouped with 400 metres left to set the sprint finish.
BMC’s Greg van Avermaet retained the yellow jersey in 18:22:00 ahead of teammate and American Tejay van Garderen, who trails the leader at two seconds, and Gilbert, at three seconds.
