Italy’s Gerhard Kerschbaumer won the men’s elite race in the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Vallnord, Andorra, yesterday.
Kerschbaumer completed the course in 1:32:05, beating Switzerland’s Nino Schurter into second, with Netherland’s Mathieu van der Poel coming third.

Norway’s Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå won the women’s elite race in 1:22:58. Switzerland’s Jolanda Neff and Canada’s Emily Batty completed the podium.
South Africa’s Mariske Strauss finished 21st in 1:30:17.
