Witklip MTB Winter Challenge results

Marnus Potgieter won the men’s title at the Witklip MTB Winter Challenge in Bronkhorstspruit, Gauteng, today.

He finished the 55km race in 2:10:47 to top Hansie Joubert (2:13:11) and Louis Meyer (2:15:00).

Anni Summer won the women’s race in 2:30:07 to beat Hanlie Snyman (2:38:03) and Claire Watson (2:39:47).

The 27km men’s victory went to Aaron Heyneke when he completed the race in 55:47 ahead of Kian Victor (55:56) and Matthiam Hoffmann (56:04).

Amorentia Johnson took the women’s honours in 1:17:45 with Lianne Zermatten (1:21:11) and Carla Joynt (1:22:20) in second and third respectively.

Liam Hoffmann won the 10km men’s race in 32:07, followed by Ludriaan Meyer (32:30) and Alexander van Zyl (33:20).

The women’s event was led home by Suzette Burger when she finished in 35:53. Chantal Viljoen (36:06) came in second with Mariza de Villiers (37:58) rounding out the podium.
