General entries for next year’s Cape Town Cycle Tour open on Thursday, September 6, the organisers announced today.
A first-come, first-served system will apply, with entries capped at 35 000 for the 2019 event, which takes place on Sunday, March 10, from the Grand Parade precinct.
Some earlier entries have been allowed.
The first tier of entries is for Pedal Power Association (R510) and Club 21 (R540) members, as well as those who have completed nine or more tours (R540). These entries opened on August 27 and close on September 3.
The second tier covers general entries and opens on September 6, with the closing date being October 20 or when totals have been reached.
Charity group applications opened on August 27, with the closing date to be confirmed.
The rest of the public can enter on the event’s website from next week Thursday.
