The Cycle4Cansa Cycle Tour and MTB Classic will be accommodating e-bikes in the shorter distances of the event when it takes place from August 25 to 26.
Riders with e-bikes will start in their own batches ahead of the field in both the 25km MTB event, as well as the 70km road-race.

“We would like to fuel the growing interest in e-bikes,” event organiser Mauritz Meyer said. “They don’t form part of the racing categories, so there is no reason not to allow them to enjoy the weekend with us.
“E-bike riders need to be aware that they can’t form part of any official category prizes and that they will start separately from the field.
“No drafting behind an e-bike will be allowed and e-bikes will be denoted as such on the results and time sheets.”
