South Africa’s Reinardt Janse van Rensburg narrowly missed the podium when he finished fourth in the opening stage of the Deutschland Tour in Bonn today.
The Dimension Data rider completed the 154km course, which started in Koblenz, in a time of 3:35:08.

Quick-Step Floors’ Alvaro Hodeg claimed the win, beating Bora-Hansgrohe’s Pascal Ackermann and Bahrain-Merida’s Niccolo Bonifazio into second and third respectively.
