Ben Melt Swanepoel took the victory in the 55km men’s race at the Garmin MTB Classic in Johannesburg, Gauteng, today.

He completed the event in 2:01:01 ahead of Kyle Brummer (2:02:36) and David Cooke (2:03:57).
Yolandi du Toit won the women’s event in 2:17:17, followed by Steph Blane (2:28:06) and Arri Krugel (2:30:00).
The 30km men’s race was won by Kian Victor in 1:11:18. Liam Edwards (1:11:22) finished second with Jean van Staden (1:13:20) in third.
Jade Slabbert took the women’s spoils in 1:20:36 to beat Amy Green (1:27:58) and Jade Skinner (1:30:43).
