He completed the course, which consisted of three laps of 40.8km in total, in a time of 1:14:24.

The event was won by USA’s Ryan Boyle, who crossed the line after 1:13:35. Second place went to Spain’s Joan Reinoso Figuerola, who finished in 1:14:24. Colombia’s Nestor Javier Ayala Ayala placed third in 1:14:41
