South Africa’s Calvin Beneke was the highest placed South African after finishing 13th on stage two of the Tour du Rwanda in Huye yesterday.
Beneke completed the 120.3km course, which started in Kigali, in a time of 3:12:22.

The stage was won by Rwanda’s Samuel Mugisha, who crossed the line after 3:08:56. Fellow countryman Jean Claude Uwizeye followed him home, with Ethiopia’s Mulu Hailemichael in third.
Mugisha also leads the overall standings, with Uwizeye in second and Hailemichael third.
