James Fourie was the highest placed South African on the 135.4km fourth stage of the Tour du Rwanda in Karongi today.
Fourie finished 21st in a time of 3:34:01. Team Embrace the World’s Timothy Rugg soloed to victory in 3:31:25, finishing over two minutes ahead of Rwanda’s Samuel Hakiruwizeye in second. Rwanda’s Didier Munyaneza completed the podium.

Rwanda’s Samuel Mugisha retained his race lead with a time of 14:07:53, 21 seconds clear from POC Cote de Lumière’s Jean Claude Uwizeye. Calvin Beneke is the highest placed South African on the general classification standings, currently lying in 12th.
