Nicol Carstens and Yolande de Villiers won the respective men’s and women’s 85km race of the 7weekspoort MTB Challenge, which took place in Amalienstein, Western Cape, today.
Carstens completed the race in 2:47:13, beating Aidan Connelly by a mere second. Matthew Keyser completed the podium.

De Villiers won the women’s race and finished fifth overall in 2:53:09. Fienie Barnard and Mellusca Toovey came home in second and third respectively.
Tristan Nortje (1:18:19) and Mia Bester (1:44:49) won the 43km race.
