Aidan Connelly and Rogan Smart won the 72km opening stage of the Dr Evil Classic at the Plettenberg Game Reserve in the Western Cape today.
The Bikeshop-Scott-Strocam pair completed the race in 2:36:11, beating S&J’s Neill and Tyrone by over 18 minutes. The Bike Shop-Strocam’s Kevin and Shannon completed the podium.

Rynhardt Jacobs won the solo men’s race in 2:37:01, finishing ahead of Hannes Jonker and Zack van der Merwe.
Nikki Biesheuvel won the women’s version, with Christine du Plessis-Kannemeyer and Lindsay Everson rounding out the podium.
