Aidan Connelly and Rogan Smart claimed the Dr Evil Classic men’s teams title after stage three near Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape, today.

After winning all three stages, the Bikeshop-Scott-Strocam duo sealed the overall victory in 6:27:48. They were followed by S&J’s Neill Clark and Tyrone van Rooyen (7:14:57) with The Bike Shop-Strocam’s Kevin Evans & Shannon Frost (7:20:55) in third.
Jacques and Wanda Tattersall won the mixed category in 8:22:02 to beat Nickey and Henk Botes (8:31:17). Rounding out the podium were Wynand and Esmari de Wet (9:04:16).
Maria Frick and Frederika Louw (12:38:21) were crowned with the women’s team title. Second were Alison Kemohan and Helen Kernohan (13:33:16)
The solo men’s title went to Rynhardt Jacobs (6:38:39). Second and third were Hannes Jonker (7:10:39) and Zack van der Merwe (7:11:47).
Nikki Biesheuvel won the solo women’s event in 8:31:10, beating Christine du Plessis-Kannemeyer (9:07:50) and Lindsay Everson (9:34:23).
