Australian Michael Matthews won the ninth edition of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Quebec in Quebec City, Quebec, yesterday.
The Team Sunweb rider completed the 201.6km course, which consisted of sixteen laps of 12.6km each, in a time of 5:04:17.

“It’s been a rocky start to my year and I’m just really happy that I’ve been able to turn it around in a positive way for the second half of the season,” said Matthews.
Second over the line was BMC’s Greg van Avermaet, while Trek-Segafredo’s Jasper Stuyven finished in third.
Daryl Impey was the highest placed South African after finishing in 26th position.
