Andrew Johnson won the 50km feature of the Monzi Hippo MTB race, which took place in Monzi, KwaZulu-Natal, today.
Johnson completed the race in 1:43:34, beating Tyronne White by a mere four seconds. Sakhele Mthembu rounded out the podium.

Candice Farland won the women’s category in 2:30:36, finishing ahead of Christina Durand and Jacqui Ras.
Jason Ackerman (1:03:39) and Mare Pieterse-De Jager (1:08:19) won the respective men’s and women’s 25km race.
