Shaun-Nick Bester defended his title at the 60km feature race of the National Classic MTB Cycle Race at Carnival City in Brakpan today.
Bester completed the race in 1:54:59, beating Bradley Potgieter by a mere four seconds. Andries Nigrini completed the podium.

Marisa van der Linde won the women’s race in 2:09:22, with Bronwynne Swanepoel and Faye Darby making up the rest of the podium.
Jean Blignaut (1:09:00) and Marisa Williams (1:20:28) were the respective men’s and women’s winners in the 34km race.
