Candice Lill and Adelheid Morath won the 69km opening stage of the Wines2Whales Chardonnay, which finished in the Oak Valley Wine Estate, Western Cape, today.
The Summit Finance pair soloed to victory in 3:24:27. Mariske Strauss and Jennie Stenerhag finished second, beating Robyn de Groot and Michelle Vorster into third in a sprint.

Zamalek’s Dean Engelbrecht and Willem Pretorius won the men’s team race in 3:29:14, beating Zoerdoef’s Phillip Malan and Daniel Griesel by some five minutes.
