Alan Gordon took the men’s honours in the 80km feature race at the Magoebaskloof MTB Classic in Haenertsburg, Limpopo, today.
He finished the event in 4:13:30, beating Alan van Coller (4:19:40) and Wiliam Noel (4:26:16) to the finish.

Shirley Scriven won the women’s race in 5:09:53 ahead of Alison Lingard (5:29:11) and Theresia Lessing (6:09:27).
The 40km men’s event was won by Sheldon Muller (1:56:46), followed by Ruan Jansen van Vuuren (1:58:30) and Herman Fourie (2:00:00).
Emma van Coller (2:15:56) claimed the victory in the women’s race. She was followed home by Anna Elisa Gutierrez (2:22:55) and Lara Dando (2:25:13).
