Marius Kozak and Danielle Strydom won the respective men’s and women’s race on day one of the Origin of Trails in Stellenbosch today.
Kozak, who recently won the Sanlam MTB Invitational alongside Piotr Brzozka, completed the long course in a time of 2:46:54.

Brzozka placed second, with Wozciech Halejak third.
Strydom won the women’s race in 3:18:31, beating Mari Rabie and Tarryn Povey into second and third respectively.
Luca Ruwiel won the men’s short course, while Lachland Mundie finished second and Juan Erasmus third.
The women’s race was won by Michele Jennings, with Lenetia Mundie second and Jane van Wyngaarden third.
