AC Swanepoel won the 230km race at the Lindley Gravel Grind that started at the Lindley Hotel yesterday.
He completed his race in a time of 10:26:06. Second place went to Michael Twyman, while Mike Woolnough finished third.

The women’s winner was Sarah van Heerden, who finished in 13:06:56. Marlé Kotzé came second and Bianca Cooper third.
The event was a gravel cycle race that needed to be completed in under 24 hours. Riders had to use their own GPS for navigation.
There was also a 116km race that had a time limit of 10 hours. The men’s race was won by Saul-Marco Swart, with Heather Watson winning the women’s version.
Participants enjoyed cycling around the Free State province while tackling over 2 200m of ascent on the long route and 1 150m on the shorter distance.
