He finished the 75km stage in 3:09:58, beating Andrew Hill (3:10:25) and Lucky Mlangeni (3:11:19).
Bonny Swanepoel extended her overall lead (8:11:25) in the women’s race when she won today’s stage in 3:51:40.
She was followed by Melanie Knowles (4:21:37) and Marjolein Mansvelder (4:23:49).
Hill maintains the overall lead in 6:30:24 while Mlangeni (6:39:47) and Bester (6:42:39) are second and third.
Second overall in the women’s category is Knowles (8:59:00), followed by Mansvelder (9:13:55).
