Mitchelton-Scott’s Matteo Trentin sprinted to victory on the 216km second stage of the Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol in Torredonjimeno, Spain, yesterday.
The Italian completed the race in 5:55:28, beating Team Jumbo-Visma’s Danny van Poppel and Bahrain-Merida’s Ivan Garcia in a sprint finish.

Lotto Soudal’s Tim Wellens retained his race lead with a general classification of 10:19:40, five seconds clear of Astana Pro’s Jakob Fuglsang.
