Cannondale Factory Racing’s Manuel Fumic and Henrique Avancini soloed to victory in the 107km third stage of the Cape Epic, which started and finished at the Oak Valley Estate today.
The pair capitalised on a crucial mechanical suffered by the overnight leaders, SCOTT-SRAM’s Nino Schurter and Lars Forster, to not only win the stage, but also take the overall lead.

Specialized Foundation NAD’s Alan Hatherly and Matt Beers extended their lead in the African classification after finishing the stage in seventh.
