Alan Hatherly won the 60km Cape Town Cycle Tour MTB Challenge in a sprint finish in Klapmuts, Western Cape, today.

Daniel Geismayr, Hatherly and Beers were the first to make the racing, as the trio broke away from the bunch with more than 20km to go.
Andreassen was leading the chase, before Geismayr suffered a mechanical and Hatherly and Beers broke clear and battled it out until the line.
Team Summit’s Candice Lill won the women’s race in 2:33:47, beating Mariske Strauss and Jennie Stenerhag into second and third respectively.
