Nicholas Lambrecht claimed the men’s victory at the Philadelphia MTB race in Philadelphia, Western Cape, today.
He finished the 85km mountain bike event in 3:17:20 to beat Lawrence von Gunten (3:21:47) and Nico Pfitzenmaier (3:21:53).
Michelle Lombardi took first prize in the women’s race when she finished in 4:09:28. She was followed by Leanne Brown-Waterson (4:16:39) and Elrika Harmzen Pretorius (4:27:32).

The 50km men’s race was won by Philip Kotze in 2:05:25, beating Lachlan Mundie (2:11:45) and Abraham Muller (2:12:18) to the finish.
Nienke Mostert (2:35:03) won the women’s event ahead of Elishia Drotschie (2:40:56) and Cornelia Davis (2:43:06).
Luca Zietsman (0:35:33) led the men’s 13km race home. Second and third were Christiaan Ellis (0:35:39) and Jacques Zietsman (0:36:50).
Olivia Penfold (0:39:10) claimed the women’s title with Eryn Marais (0:42:52) and Zoe Green (0:43:00) rounding out the podium.
