Nohan van Tonder took the honours in the solo men’s event on stage two of the Sabie Xperience in Sabie, Mpumalanga, today.
He beat Heine Engelbrecht (3:58:43) and Emile Fourie (4:04:06) when he finished the 80km race in 3:58:40.
Samantha Sanders (4:29:41) claimed her second stage win at the event when she finished ahead of Marli van Eeden (5:23: 22) and Alexa Ogilvie (6:24:24).

Arno Matthee and Mike Odendaal won the men’s 50km team event in 2:06:38 to beat Christopher Robertson and Wessel Fourie (2:10:35). Third were Hannes Nel and Pieter le Roux (2:15:42).
The women’s race was won by Carin Gouws and Renschea Niemandt (2:36:19), followed by Yolandi Mostert and Melicia Labuschagne (2:37:50). Lousanne Ackerman and Santie van der Westhuizen (2:52:20) took third.
In the mixed event, Darryl and Caitlin Thompson (2:23:22) claimed the victory again. Second were Christiaan and Neline Kellerman (2:25:58) with Heila Meintjies and Gerrie Whelan (2:30:31) completing the final spot on the podium.
