Poland’s Katarzyna Niewiadoma won the women’s edition of the Amstel Gold Race in Berg en Terblijt today.
The Canyon-SRAM rider beat Mitchelton-Scott’s Annemiek van Vleuten into second after completing the 126.8km route, which started in Maastricht.

CCC-Liv’s Marianne Vos completed the podium.
Boels-Dolmans’ Annika Langvad finished fourth, with Ale-Cippolini’s Soraya Paladin fifth.
After her race, Niewiadoma said she still could not believe what happened.
“I’ve been wanting so much to win Amstel Gold Race. I’ve been dreaming about it, and it just happened. A dream came true.”
