The JBay Wind Farm MTB Classic will welcome participants to a new venue when it takes place at the Twin Valley Nature Estate in Kabeljauws on June 29.
The seventh edition of the race will run on out-and-back routes from the estate, with participants choosing between 85km, 50km and 25km rides.
Organiser and route designer Arthur Joubert explained the move largely cut out the need to use any of the public roads.
“There’s also room for expansion and we’ve got a few ideas for more great family activities on the day,” he said.
Joubert added that the routes would not see major changes.
Both the 85km and 50km marathon will have big sections of single-track, while the 25km fun ride is ideal for those getting into the sport.
Declan Sidey and Yolande de Villiers won the men’s and women’s races last year.
