Andries Nigrini defended his title when he won the Route 42 MTB Challenge that took place in Nigel, Gauteng, today.
He completed the 60km route in a time of 2:25:48, beating JC Nel and Arno Kotzee into second and third respectively.

Fourth place went to Danie Jacobus van den Berg, with Elandre Kotzee fifth.
The women’s race was won by Elizma Wheeler, with Yvonne Cornes second and Gesina Catharina Botha third.
Ruby Dinner placed fourth, while Sonja Cronje came fifth.
