Maximilian Schachmann sprinted to victory on stage three of the Tour of the Basque Country that finished in Estibaliz, Spain, today.
The 25-year-old Bora-Hansgrohe rider completed the 191.4km route, which started in Sarriguren, in 4:47:58.

It was the German’s fourth win of the season. He also won the individual time trial on stage one of the tour.
Diego Ulissi (UAE Team Emirates) and Enrico Battaglin (Katusha-Alpecin) finished second and third respectively.
Marc Hirschi (Team Sunweb) placed fourth, with Ion Izagirre Insausti (Astana Pro Team) fifth.
Schachmann also places first overall, while Insausti is second and Patrick Konrad (Bora-Hansgrohe) third.
