Immaneul Bekker sealed the victory in the men’s feature race at the Redstone Mountain Bike Weekend in Calitzdorp, Western Cape, today.
He completed the 60km event in 2:25:06, beating Jacques van Staden (2:28:33) and Pieter de Jager (2:29:57) to the finish.
Jolebe Klaasen (3:10:19) came first in the women’s event while Louise Wilson (3:43:51) finished second.
Nico Bester won the 43km men’s race in 1:34:52 to beat Hans Benino (1:34:52) and Johannes Moolman (1:35:14).
The women’s victory went to Kirsten Roelofse (1:51:55) ahead of Charlissa Schultz (1:53:46) and Mia Bester (1:54:06).
The 17km men’s race saw Louis Venter take the honours in 0:40:37. He was followed home by Cronje Beukes (0:40:41) and Allen Harvie (0:41:36).

Anya du Plessis (0:45:45) brought the women home. Second and third were Almerie Venter (0:55:09) and Lindie Steyn (1:07:29).
Brunay Loff beat Herschelle Fortuin (0:34:13) and Lohan Volmink (0:35:25) when he finished in 0:32:19.
Emily King bagged the women’s title in 0:45:17 while De-Ane Hoepfner (1:01:15) and Martie Pienaar (1:04:16) rounded out the podium.
Janno van Antwerpen (0:32:47) won the men’s 11km night ride, which took place the previous evening. Second was Nico Fischer (0:33:05).
Lee-Ann Saville (1:01:58) rode to the women’s victory. Peta Wells (1:13:30) took second with Jessica Pansegrouw (1:18:09) in third.
