Matthys Beukes and Philip Buys won the men’s team race on the second stage of the sani2c Race in Jolivet today.
The Pyga Euro Steel riders finished the 97km route, which started in Ixopo, in a time of 3:18:27. They were followed home by Arno du Toit and Gert Heyns, who won the opening stage.
Sarah Hill and Theresa Ralph, who placed second on the first stage, were the women’s team winners. Samantha Sanders and Robyn de Groot crossed the line in second, with Hayley Smith and Desiree Briedenhan third.
Joanna and Tijl van de Winkel won the mixed team race for the second day in a row, with Sanet Coetzee and Martin van der Westhuizen second. Third place went to Callan Sexton and Fiddy Gey van Pittius.
The third stage starts in Jolivet and ends in Scottburgh 86km later.
