South Africa’s Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio finished third overall in this year’s Tour of California that ended in Pasadena on Saturday.
The national road champion, who placed fifth in stage one, third in the second stage and 14th in the final stage, recorded a total time of 8:33:40.
Boels Dolmans Cycling Team’s Anna van der Breggen won the title, while her teammate Katharine Hall was second.
“All smiles after the podium. I’m happy to finish third overall and am proud of how my team raced,” said CCC-Liv’s Moolman-Pasio in an Instagram post.
“Pauliena Rooijakkers rode with her heart; she gave everything and came just short of a stage victory. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season with my team.
“Thanks to the amazing people of California for all the support.”
