Matt Beers bagged the men’s victory at the first event of the Trailseeker Series at Legends MX in Pretoria East, Gauteng, today.
The NAD rider (2:15:51) beat teammate Wessel Botha (2:15:51) and Pyga-Euro Steel’s Philip Buys (2:15:51) to the finish line of the 70km men’s marathon.
The women’s race saw Danielle Strydom (2:39:54) take the honours ahead of Marisa van der Linde (2:44:11) and Johandri Leicester (2:44:44).
Aaron Heyneke won the 40km race in 1:27:47. He was followed home by Konrad Spanig (1:27:48) and Bertie Anderson (1:28:31).
Monique du Toit (1:43:03) claimed victory in the women’s race. Jone van Eeden (1:45:01) was second with Natalie Strydom (1:46:39) in third.
