Joshua Louw secured the men’s title when he won the 60km Robertson Winery MTB Challenge in Robertson, Western Cape, today.
He (2:48:31) finished ahead of Hannes Kotze (2:49:03) and Hennie Roux (2:52:35).
The women’s event saw Jane Kruger (3:40:32) go home with the victory after she beat Susan Kruger (3:58:13) and Annemie Kruger (4:12:04) to the finish.
Marius Strydom (1:12:48) took the spoils in the men’s 29km event. Second was Kieran Droomer (1:15:30) with Ruben Oosthuizen (1:16:18) third.
Elana Swart won the women’s race in 1:24:33, beating Brenda Swart (1:38:12) and Isna Venter (1:38:17) to the title.
The 11km men’s race was won by Luka Cronje in 38:31 while Divan Cronje (39:00) and Jaco Nel (39:47) rounded out the podium.
Maud-Mari Wagner (37:32) took the women’s victory after finishing in front of Cara Hartley (44:05) and Emma Horner (51:21).
